Terms of Service - Viteo

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Viteo platform ("Service"), operated by Viteo Technologies Inc. ("Viteo", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, registered account holders, creators, and enterprise organizations accessing the Service across all supported global jurisdictions.

2. Account Registration and Security

To access features of the Service, you must register for an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must immediately notify Viteo of any unauthorized use or security breach. Viteo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide fraudulent information or threaten system integrity.

3. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Content

Viteo provides video hosting and conversion optimization for lawful commercial and educational use. You agree not to upload, transmit, distribute, or store any content that:

Violation of any acceptable use policy will result in immediate content removal, suspension or termination of your account without refund, and potential notification to relevant law enforcement authorities.

  • Infringes any copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary rights of any third party without express authorization;
  • Contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual sexual content, or unlawful exploitation;
  • Promotes hate speech, violence, terrorism, illegal gambling, or financial fraud;
  • Contains malware, ransomware, trojans, or automated scripts designed to compromise the Viteo infrastructure or CDN networks.

4. Billing, Subscriptions, and Cancellation

The Service is offered on a recurring subscription basis (monthly or annual). Fees are billed in advance according to the pricing tier and currency selected at checkout.

Where applicable, free trials allow evaluation of the Service for 14 days. If you do not wish to continue, you must cancel before the end of the trial period in your dashboard to avoid automated billing.

Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time through account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals while preserving access through the end of the current paid billing cycle.

5. Intellectual Property and DMCA / Copyright Policy

You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights in the video content you upload to Viteo. You grant Viteo a limited, non-exclusive license solely to host, transcode, and stream your content as directed by you.

In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent international standards, Viteo promptly responds to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement. Notices should be directed to our designated copyright agent at [email protected].

6. Service Availability, SLA, and Limitation of Liability

We strive for 99.9% service availability utilizing multi-CDN routing and server redundancy. However, occasional scheduled maintenance or upstream carrier disruptions may occur.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Viteo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration or competent state/federal courts located in Delaware.

For users residing in jurisdictions with non-waivable statutory consumer protections (such as the United Kingdom or European Union), local mandatory statutory protections remain unaffected.
